7-Day Bali Honeymoon Itinerary for Indian Couples

bali tour

Bali packs jungle temples, rice terraces, beach clubs and private pool villas into one island — which is exactly why it’s a favourite for Indian honeymooners. Indian passport holders get visa on arrival, and a week is the perfect length. Here’s our tried-and-tested 7-day plan.

Before You Go

  • Visa: Visa on arrival for Indians (about 35 USD, extendable), plus Bali’s small tourist levy paid online or at the airport.
  • Best time: April–October is the dry season. Avoid the Nyepi (Day of Silence) date if your trip is short — the entire island shuts down for 24 hours.
  • Stay split: The classic honeymoon split is Ubud (jungle) first, then Seminyak or Uluwatu (beach) — romance in the rice fields, then sunsets by the sea.

Day 1 — Arrive & Settle Into Ubud

Land at Denpasar, meet your driver (all our packages include a private English-speaking driver) and head to Ubud. Check into your pool villa, then ease in with a flower-garland welcome, a gentle walk through Ubud town and dinner overlooking the paddies.

Day 2 — Ubud’s Icons

The big Ubud day: Tegalalang rice terraces early (before the crowds and heat), the famous jungle swing for those flying-dress photos, a coffee plantation stop, and the Sacred Monkey Forest in the afternoon. End with a traditional Balinese dance performance at Ubud Palace.

Day 3 — Temples & Mountain Lakes

Head north to Ulun Danu Beratan — the lakeside temple on every Bali postcard — then the Handara Gate photo stop and the Wanagiri hilltop swings over the twin lakes. On the way back, catch sunset at Tanah Lot, the sea temple perched on a rock in the ocean.

Day 4 — Nusa Penida Day Trip

Take the fast boat to Nusa Penida for the most dramatic scenery in Bali: the T-Rex-shaped cliffs of Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Broken Beach and Crystal Bay. It’s a full day and the island roads are bumpy — but the photos are unmatched. (Included in our Nusa Penida West Tour.)

Day 5 — Beach Change: Seminyak or Uluwatu

Transfer south to your beach-side villa. Spend the afternoon at a beach club (Seminyak’s sunset beds are legendary), or visit the clifftop Uluwatu Temple for the fire-lit Kecak dance at sunset.

Day 6 — Adventure + Spa

Morning ATV ride or water sports at Tanjung Benoa (parasailing, jet ski, banana boat), then balance it out with a couples’ Balinese massage in the afternoon — an hour-long spa session is included in our package. Finish with a romantic candle-light dinner.

Day 7 — Slow Morning & Departure

One last floating breakfast in your villa pool, some souvenir shopping, and a private transfer to the airport.

What It Costs

Our Bali package — 5 nights at Santi Mandala Villa & Spa (one-bedroom pool villa) at ₹44,999 per person — includes private driver, flower-garland welcome, one floating breakfast, a 1-hour Balinese spa session, and covers ATV tandem ride, the swings, Ulun Danu, Tanah Lot and the Nusa Penida West tour. Extend to 6 nights to fit this full 7-day plan, or ask us to customise it.

Honeymoon Tips

  • Book villas with a private pool — in Bali the price difference is small and the experience is worth it.
  • Carry light rain protection even in dry season — brief tropical showers happen.
  • Indonesian Rupiah has many zeroes — use a currency app until you get used to it, and carry small cash for temple donations and local warungs.
  • Dress modestly at temples (sarongs are provided at entrances).
