Dubai is one of the most popular international destinations for Indian travellers — just a 3–4 hour flight from most metro cities, visa-friendly, and packed with experiences for families, couples and groups. But when you go makes a huge difference to both your experience and your budget. Here’s our complete month-by-month guide.
The Short Answer: October to April
Dubai’s best weather runs from October to April, when daytime temperatures stay between 24–34°C and evenings are pleasantly cool. This is when the city truly comes alive — outdoor dining, desert safaris, beach days and open-air attractions are all at their best.
Month-by-Month Breakdown
October – November: The Sweet Spot Begins
The heat breaks and the tourist season kicks off. Pleasant evenings, manageable crowds, and hotel prices that haven’t yet hit their December peak. A great window for families travelling after the school exam season.
December – January: Peak Season
The most popular — and most expensive — time to visit. The weather is perfect (20–26°C), the Dubai Shopping Festival begins, and New Year’s Eve at Burj Khalifa is world-famous. Book 2–3 months in advance for the best hotel rates, especially around Christmas and New Year.
February – March: Great Weather, Better Prices
Still beautiful weather, but with slightly softer prices than the December rush. The Dubai Shopping Festival usually runs into early February. Ideal for honeymooners and couples looking for a balance of good weather and value.
April: Last Call for Comfort
Temperatures start climbing towards the mid-30s, but mornings and evenings remain comfortable. Good deals begin appearing as the high season winds down.
May – September: Hot, But Cheap
Summer in Dubai is intense — often above 40°C. But if your plan revolves around indoor experiences (malls, aquariums, indoor theme parks, Ski Dubai) and resort time, this is when you’ll find the lowest hotel and package prices of the year. Many 5-star hotels drop to nearly half their winter rates.
Price Tips for Indian Travellers
- Avoid Diwali and New Year weeks if you’re budget-conscious — flights from India peak during these windows.
- Tuesday–Thursday departures from India are usually cheaper than weekend flights.
- Book desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets in advance — walk-in prices are significantly higher.
- A 4–5 day trip is the ideal duration to cover the major attractions without rushing.
